Plus Size Swimwear in Australia

We've converted all sizes to Australian (in the size selection) to make it easy for you to get great fitting swimwear.

A size chart for each swimsuit can be found on the item's description page.

Please note: the measurements in all swimwear charts are for body size (not the actual size of the swimsuit).

Different manufacturers' and brands' sizing methods do vary - every style has it's own size chart, which may be vastly different to another style's size chart.

Don't get put off by the size 'number' that best suits your measurements.  If the number on a chart is greater than the size you feel that you ordinarily take, be aware that swimwear (like underwear) is usually sized bit different to other garments (see our explanation of Vanity Sizing and its impact on women's sizes).

Use a fabric tape measure (or, if you don't have one, use a length of non-stretchy string and meaure it against a builder's tape measure ;-)

Always take your measurements in your comfy underwear (and relax!)

Ensure the tape is firm, but don't pull it tight.

We need four measurements:

1. BUST: measure the fullest part of your bust and around your back at the same level

2. WAIST: measure around the smallest part of your natural waistline

3. HIPS: measure around the fullest part of your hips (approx 20cm below your waistline)

4. TORSO: measure from the top of your shoulder, over your bust, through your legs, over your bottom and back to your shoulder (where you started).  The torso measurement is important to give you a comfortable and flattering fit.  Please note: don't just measure your front... you must take the tape all the way, between your legs and up your back too.

Measuring tip: If your tape measure isn't long enough (some are pretty small) use non-stretchy string, then measure the string :-)

But what if your measurements don't exactly match with one size?

These styles are fabulous for those of us who don’t have hourglass figures!

If your measurements aren’t consistent with one size on the size chart eg. one size up top and a couple of sizes different on the bottom then it's best to go with the size that relates to your bust measurement - which generally the smaller size.  There's generally enough stretch to accommodate a bottom that is up to two sizes greater than the bust.

If you're still not sure,  we'd love to assist - send us your measurements via our Virtual Fitting Service.
